OldReel is a free vintage filter for photos and videos. Choose a 1920s silent-film look, high-contrast noir, faded 1960s colour, grainy Super 8 or an analogue VHS effect, then fine-tune the grain, scratches, flicker, colour and framing.
The effect is rendered in your browser. Your original media is not uploaded to ANTB, and you can preview the result before exporting it.

Use a ready-made era as a starting point, or adjust every part of the look yourself.
Choose an era
Try silent film, noir, faded colour, Super 8, VHS or a subtle treatment. Adjust grain, dust, flicker, weave, vignette, sepia and softness.
Frame and export
Keep the original shape or prepare a wide, square, portrait, story or cinema frame. Export compatible photos or videos when the preview feels right.

Your files stay on your device
OldReel processes photos and videos entirely inside your web browser, using your own device’s graphics chip. Your files are not uploaded to, stored on, or seen by ANTB or anyone else. Closing the tab clears them.
Terms of use and copyright
- Only use media you created yourself, own, or have permission to use.
- Adding a vintage effect does not change who owns the copyright in the original footage, music or images.
- You are responsible for the files you process and how you share the results.
- The film effects (grain, scratches, dust, flicker, sound) are generated by the app. You may use them freely in your own work.
Tips
- Keep this tab open and visible while a video exports. Export runs in real time.
- Choose 480p for the fastest export on phones and older laptops.
- MP4 is saved where your browser supports it. Otherwise you get WebM, which plays in browsers, VLC and YouTube.
